  1. Hi, Nick, I’m really glad the portfolio is doing so well. Just a question on the situation in Europe: are you still potentially interested in adding a position based on opportunities found there, or put another way, do you still foresee any opportunity arising in the short term given the current circumstances? Thank you.

    1. The narrowness of the rally precludes that at moment. Only thing going up is a handful of stocks, all US. But depends on what happens next couple of weeks. I just hate to tinker for the sake of tinkering. Hardly ever works.

      1. Ah, I know what you mean, and you did say something to that effect in the video. Besides, at least as far as France is concerned, whatever comes out of the election probably won’t be very bullish and the market didn’t really drop that much since the drama started anyway. Have a great weekend.

  2. Several weeks back you adjusted the SPY Calls from $520 to $540 strike. At what point would it be appropriate to do that again? (e.g. move up to SPY $550+ calls)

  3. You mentioned the IEI & SHY parts of the portfolio are set to reinvest dividends. Is this the default for all portfolio holdings?

    1. I believe I said that if you include dividends received (in case of IEI and SHY it makes almost no difference if in cash or shares) then we are making new highs all the time. Personally I receive cash and then use the cash monthly to add to something and keep cash as low to zero as possible. But there is nothing wrong with setting it up so you receive shares. In fact, unless you think you will need the cash, it’s probably better. I don’t know if all ETFs allow that option.

      1. I think the ETF accumulation option also defers tax withholding on those dividends, which may or may not be helpful depending on one’s circumstances.

  4. Enjoyed the recap of the different outcomes you see and how we’re positioned for them.

Glad you’re not tinkering for the sake of tinkering. Will sit tight!
